Communication

The artworks in this exhibition interpret the theme: Communication.  The interpretations of this theme vary from the Victorian language of flowers, where every flower had a meaning, to sign language for communicating with the deaf.  Early civilizations left cave paintings, hieroglyphs, characters etched into rock, and shared their history through oral storytelling. Written language has changed through the ages and in  in the 21st century can include emojis and texting shorthand. We all communicate through what we say, what we don't say and what we do. The phrase 'A picture tells a thousand words' is true and we read people's body language to see how they have received our words.

All of the artworks were created in 2019.
